ͯÑÕÊÓÆµ's State of the Nation measure tracks the percentage of Americans who say they are satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time.
The percentage of Americans naming an economic issue as the most important problem facing the country is down to 60% from 69% a month ago. Meantime, the healthcare debate is turning more attention to that issue, with 25% now calling it the most important problem -- up from 16% a month ago.
Americans have become more liberal on many moral and values issues over the past quarter century, but with some signs of a leveling off in recent years.
